Final Pre-Assembing Machine for Cutting Rings
The Opticam 34 is a hydraulically-powered machine for cutting-ring assembly with SPC control for  nal pre-assembly and, optionally, for pre-assembly of cutting rings.
The Opticam 34 can be used to produce all common assembly types.
• Fully automatic adjustment of programmes. When the counter plate is inserted, the programme is set by a 5-hole code. Validation checks are carried out by the Opticam’s sensors.
• An alpha-numeric display shows all data necessary for the assembly. SPC (Storage-Programmable Control) allows for total supervision and control of the chosen kind of assembly.
• 100% assembly security by process control. Assembly programmes are supplied by EMB as software installations (but may also be determined by the machine operator); thus enabling the operator to produce assemblies with perfect precision and control. Assembly errors such as back-to-front cutting rings, deviation of dimensions
in different parts, worn-out tooling and faulty tube preparation are identi ed & indicated on the display panel and by a red warning LED. Correct assembly is indicated by a green LED.
• One great advantage of this machine is the controlled  nal assembly of cutting rings. All that is required are cutting rings ready for  nal assembly, such as the EMB DS ring. Final assembly means that the cutting ring cuts into the tube by 100% while being controlled (control of pressure and distance). The  nal turning in the stud is only 30° (starting from pressure point).
• Controlled pre-assembly of cutting rings is possible (50% of the cut- ting-in process) for all standard kinds of cutting rings used throughout the industry.
• Users have the option of choosing up to 9 different programmes for cutting rings (1-9) via the keyboard, so it is possible to select from an enormous range of different kinds of assembly, materials, brands, etc.
