EMB DS Cutting Ring
Easy to Assemble
Cannot be Over-Tightened
2 Cutting Edges
EMB’s steel and stainless steel "DS" cutting ring is a rigid, optimised two-edge cutting ring featuring a secondary metallic seal.
Each cutting edge cuts in sequence, resulting in the capacity to withstand larger pull out loads and provide increased tube stability.
The second cutting edge reduces both transverse force and torque, and functions as a "physical stop" that prevents over tightening during assembly.
Evenly distributed force within the cone guarantees security.
A rising strength is imparted to the whole length of the ring and ows over the ring on to the body cone and the cone of the nut. This effect arises from the conical design of the inside end.
The conical surface opposite the cutting edges is highly nished, thereby reducing
the loss by friction during the installation and resulting in a stronger grip. Besides higher stability, the reinforced end of the DS ring reduces friction and takes the pressure off the base of the nut.
The required reduction of the cross-section optimises the radial stability & thereby keeps the tube secure. The stop area clearly limits overwinding by the bearing at the stud’s front surface.
