Stainless Steel Instrumentation Tube
High quality, low-carbon austenitic stainless steel tubing manufactured to instrumentation and hydraulic standards. Sandvik tubes are noted for their quality and low lifecycle costs for the following reasons:
• Sandvik control every step in the tube production process, ensuring consistent quality in the product.
• Sandvik have well equipped corrosion testing laboratories, used for research purposes and for control of the in uence of the production procedures on the material, that result in a product that offers high corrosion-resistance.
• High surface smoothness and close dimensional tolerances ensure there are no leakages when connecting straight tubes with couplings.
• Sandvik products are characterised by the ovality, eccentricity and controlled hardness required for superior performance for hydraulic and instrumentation systems.
• Grade 316L seamless stainless steel tube compliant with ASTM A269
• Higher molybdenum content—minimum 2.5% compared with minimum of
2.0%—than ASTM 316L standard
• Corrosion properties and pitting resistance are much improved by high
molybdenum content

Sandvik seamless stainless steel tubes are also well-suited for other applications where smooth surfaces and tight tolerances are required.
Key Product Features:
Weldability. Thanks to the controlled and consistent quality
of steel grades, Sandvik hydraulic tubes are very easy to weld. Sandvik also manufactures a complete range of ller materials for welding (please ask our Sales Team for more information).
Plugged Ends. From stock, all tubes with OD larger than 5 mm can be supplied with transport protection against inside contamination.
Surface Finish. Sizes OD up to and including 30 mm are supplied bright annealed. Outside diameters larger than 30 mm are supplied in the annealed and pickled condition.
Certi cation. Testing performed according to the standard as reported in Material and Test Certi cates issued by the Sandvik Quality Assurance department.
