Industrial Ancillaries Ltd is proud of the accreditation we hold to ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015 and OHSAS18001:2007 through our ‘Integrated Management System’. By working within the scope of the standards, we are able to give due focus to providing our customers with superior quality products and excellent service whilst maintaining an engaged workforce who operate in a safe, controlled and knowledgeable manner.

We commit to set measurable and achievable objectives and targets on an annual basis. The objectives the Company has set for 2020 are:

  • To maintain a 1.5% or below return rate based on avoidable errors throughout the various departments.
  • To maintain a 99% or above on time consignment delivery rate.
  • To work towards zero waste to landfill by 2020.
  • To ensure that all internal audits, safety audits & risk assessments are closed off within 45 days.
  • To maintain our 'No Lost Hours' safety statistic by ensuring safety on site is at the forefront for each member of staff through communication, participation and training.
  • To ensure that our employees and sub-contractors are aware of our commitment made in this policy and that they understand their responsibilities within it.
  • To continue to support good local causes, projects and engage the local communities.

Quality – Accreditation through Exova BM Trada to ISO9001:2015

We are committed to achieving and continuously improving customer satisfaction through the provision of consistent products and services which meet or exceed our customers' expectations. By only supplying products that have been procured through our Approved Supplier process we can reduce the likelihood of issue by sourcing only from suppliers that provide high standards of product and service levels whilst offering sufficient capacity and business stability.

Our business processes are fully audited both internally and externally to ensure that proactive improvements can be implemented - the schedule is set following on from the annual Management Review Meeting and incorporates all identified key areas to ensure that the processes and procedures that we have in place are adding value and that continual improvements can be obtained.

Health & Safety – Accreditation through Exova BM Trada to OHSAS18001:2007

Health and safety is paramount to our company; and as such we put a lot of focus into adhering to best safety practices. Our QHSE Team manage our commitment to continual improvement, monitoring legislation changes as part of our scheduled audit process by undertaking a thorough legislation audit each annum. We follow, maintain and measure rigorous safety procedures and requirements including but not limited to:

  • Competency reviews
  • Risk assessments
  • Audits
  • Mandatory PPE requirements
  • Random spot checks
  • Inspection reports
  • Safe working practice reports
  • Internal/external mandatory training courses
  • Risk hierarchy displays
  • Visual safety displays & posters
  • Confidential reporting area

We believe that our employees are our most valuable asset and where possible, we grow knowledge from within to develop talent and education at all levels. Each employee is offered the opportunity to attend a complimentary First Aid at Work and Fire Marshal course through St Johns Ambulance and as part of our thorough induction programme we have training presentations which cover vital health and safety best practices on site and explain why these are important.

Environmental – Accreditation through Exova BM Trada to ISO14001:2015

We take our responsibility to the environment very seriously and have the following practices in place:

  • Rainwater harvesting and recycling
  • Photovoltaic (PV) electricity panels to save energy
  • 10% lower CO2 emissions than required by current Building Regulations
  • BREEAM rating: Very Good
  • EPS rating: B (31)
  • Movement triggered lighting throughout

In addition to this, we have an in-house Environmental Awareness Training presentation which is rolled out to all employees on an annual basis. This course addresses why it is important to manage our carbon footprint and provided interesting, facts, figures and best practices. All packaging that we receive our stock in is in turn recycled and used for padding in our own packages - all cardboard and paper packaging that we use is both already recycled and recyclable.

Industrial Ancillaries (Supplier number: 059865) have achieved UVDB Verify Category A following assessment by Achilles. Industrial Ancillaries' latest Management System Evaluation audit by Achilles achieved the following standards:

Membership of the BFPDA

Industrial Ancillaries is a member of the British Fluid Power Distributors Association (BFPDA). The BFPDA and its membership are dedicated to improving the performance of distribution and the development and use of recognised quality assurance procedures within the fluid power industry. Founded in 1989, the Association is affiliated to the British Fluid Power Association (BFPA).

Industrial Ancillaries is a BFPDA-accredited supplier who is proud to carry and display the 'Q' Approved Hose Safety Logo. This logo is a mark of confidence and respect throughout the industry.

To be an accredited supplier a company must be able to demonstrate to and satisfy the appointed BFPDA inspector that it adheres to all current legislation in respect of the supply, storage, handling and fitting of hydraulic hoses, particularly the requirements of BS EN 982 and BFPDA D8.
