A series of standard flow ball valves for gas manufactured by Itap.

  • EU approved for gas installations according to BS EN 331:1998
  • Nickel-plated forged brass body
  • Working pressure: 72 psi (5 bar)
  • Working temperature: -20° C to 60° C (Class T2 under EN 331)

Three handle types:

  • Lever Handle: steel; male threads to ISO 7/1 R taper (equivalent to DIN EN 10226-1 and BS21); female threads to ISO 228 (equivalent to DIN 259 and BS2779)

Itap Green Ecolological Ball Valves

Itap Green® is a new range of environmentally friendly ball valves in compliance with the European regulations for drinkable water (Council Directive 98/83/EC). Approved in accordance with standard EN 13828:2003 and Code of Practice DVGW* W 570 for the distribution of water for human consumption.

The Green® range is equipped with a ball designed to avoid the stagnation of water and the eventual proliferation of bacteria, such as Legionella, inside the valve.

MHA Zentgraf Valves

MHA Zentgraf is one of Europe's leading manufacturers of ball and flow control valves for use with high pressure hydraulic applications. The MHA range of valves has a proven track record for ultra-high pressure applications up to 800 bar (11,600 psi). Ball valve performance to the highest standards has been achieved and is maintained by using superior quality MHA specified materials.

In order to provide the many advantages of ball valves in high temperature applications, MHA has developed the MKHT series of ball valves. These valves are designed with a gland packing of special material. This sealing allows applications with high pressure and simultaneously high temperatures. NABIC 2: The Fig 542 Safety Valve is an extremely versatile valve, suitable for use on hot water, steam or air. Although designed primarily for the protection of hot water boilers, its wide range of applications make it an ideal valve for stocking as a general purpose safety valve. The Fig 542 is of gunmetal construction, with diaphragm protected working parts and PTFE to metal seating. All wetted parts are manufactured from dezincification resistant materials, approved by the Water Research Centre for use on potable water. Inlet and outlet connections are of equal size, with female threads to BS 21. Sizes from DN32 upwards are also available with flanged inlet connections. Wade High Lift Safety Relief Valves for Air & Inert Gases

Wade Air Safety Relief Valves

A range of high lift safety relief valves with atmospheric discharge (Series 6000, 6100) or side outlet discharge (Series 6200, 6300, 6500) manufactured by Wade, suitable for air and inert gas applications.

The flow is de-rated and measured in accordance with BS EN ISO 4126-1 2004: 1984. The valve re-seats by minus 10% of set pressure. Compliant with the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) (97/23/EC) and CE marked.

Norgen Buschjost Pressure Actuated Valves

This type of valve is actuated by pressure acting on a piston or diaphragm. The fluid is usually neutral e.g. air, water, hydraulic oil. The pressure range varies and is specified accordingly in a data table.

"Normally Closed" (N/C) valves of this type remain closed under spring pressure, when de-activated.

"Normally Open" (N/O) valves of this type remain open under spring pressure, when de-activated.

When pressure is connected to port "Z" the valves open or close according to type.

A separate 3/2 pilot valve is used to supply pressure to port "Z", it is mounted either directly on the actuator or remotely.

In some cases a 4/2 or 5/2 pilot valve will be required. The main valve position can be N/C or N/O. The basic position is determined by connecting the pilot valve output lines accordingly.

In the basic position the depressurised chamber of the actuator is open to atmosphere via the exhaust port of the "pilot valve". When the solenoid of the "pilot valve" is energised the exhaust port closes and fluid passes through the pilot valve building pressure in the chamber. The pressure builds up under the main piston/diaphragm and via the valve spindle lifts the valve seal off the valve seat and continues until the valve is fully open.

When the pilot valve is de-energised the supply pressure is shut off and the air pressure within the chamber vents to atmosphere. The piston/diaphragm now returns under spring pressure, the valve seal covers the valve seat and the valve closes and remains closed under spring pressure. In some versions (closing with the flow) the fluid exerts a pressure on top of the valve seal that assists the closing process.

Commonly used in water-distribution and waste water-processing for isolating or regulating flow, Vale® high-performance, ductile cast-iron quarter-turn butterfly valves are suitable for installation between PN10/16, ANSI 150 and BS10 D/E flanges.

Pro-Butty — Wafer

Wafer pattern butterfly valve designed to maintain a seal against bi-directional pressure differential to prevent backflow in systems designed for unidirectional flow.

Pro-Butty — Lugged and Tapped

Robust lug pattern butterfly valve with threaded inserts at both sides of the valve body. The lugged pattern setup makes it possible to remove one side of the piping while the other remains intact.

All Vale® butterfly valves are available with Buna or EPDM liners and have:

  • Ductile iron body
  • Stainless steel shaft
  • 316 stainless steel disc
  • Lever operation as standard
  • Quick opening and closing with full flow in either direction
  • Leak-tight shut-off
  • Temperature range: -10° C to +82° C
